Alçada – Graduation Ring

When Raquel finished the Architecture course, she wanted a jewel with symbolism, timeless, but that escaped the traditional models of course ring.

She challenged us to design a piece that would symbolize the journey of the 5 years, the achievement of this important stage for her.

When designing the Alçada ring, several shape studies were carried out, always inspired by geometric blocks – as if they were blocks of buildings – and the number 5, as Raquel asked us to.
In addition to the geometric shapes, the colors of the stones were not chosen at random: The Architecture Course that Raquel attended is represented by black and pink.
Thus, a ring was designed that would have several onyx stones (black) and rubies (pink).

This ring translates the geometric shapes of a building’s facade – “Elevation”- and celebrates so many fulfilled and future dreams!

“Loved the end result!! I really like geometric shapes - I think it has a lot to do, not only with the course, but with me as well. Despite the initial indecision, I think this really matches my personality!! Thank you Maria”
