The information on this page intends to present the terms and conditions of sale established between LEAO and the user when ordering online. Please read carefully before ordering any product. You should be aware that, when ordering one of our products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions

 

Prices
The price of LEAO products will always be clear on the website, except for a typographical error.
In the event of an error in the price of any product, we will contact the customer, presenting him with the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it with due refund. If the customer wants a refund of his order, it will be made using the same payment method as the order.
We make every effort to ensure that the prices displayed on our website are correct. However, we reserve the right to change all product prices without notice.

 

Payment methods
All products remain the property of LEAO until full payment of the order is made. The applicable price is the one defined on the date you place your order. Shipping costs and payment fees are identified before confirming the purchase. If you are under the age of 18, you must have parental permission to purchase from LEAO.

All transfers made through LEAO’s website are handled and transacted through dedicated third-party gateways to ensure your protection. Card information is not stored and all card information is handled using SSL encryption. Please read the terms and conditions of the payment portal chosen for the transaction, as they are responsible for the transactions made.

Orders
After placing your order, make sure you receive a confirmation email at the email box you used to place the order. During the process, you will receive other status notifications of your order via email.
If you do not receive an email with the order confirmation, contact us by email – geral@leaojewellery.com.

 

Exchanges & Returns
Exchanges and returns must be made within 15 days after receiving the order.
LEAO reserves the right to refuse exchanges communicated or sent after this deadline, as well as of jewelry pieces that are not in the same condition in which they were acquired.

To exchange or return a jewelry piece, it must be returned in the original packaging, with the respective invoice, to our showroom, located at:

If you choose to return your orders, you will be responsible for any fees, taxes and / or customs charges incurred with the packaging and the cost of returning the packaging to our Portuguese address. This amount will be deducted from the order refund.

 

All orders received are shipped according to the stock we have. We reserve the right to send products at a later date, if the ordered product is not in stock at the time of purchase. In this situation, you will be contacted to choose to continue with the order or to make a full refund instead of delivering the product.

Normal orders are processed and shipped within 1-5 working days of purchase, unless otherwise specified in the product description, that is, if you are purchasing a jewellery piece as a pre-order, whose period is between 5-20 working days and upon receipt of payment.

If you buy multiple pieces and one is marked as “pre-order”, the pieces will all be shipped at the later date. Therefore, you can request multiple shipments in this scenario to receive the non-“pre-order” pieces sooner.

Delivery times may be slightly longer during festive periods.

VAT is not included in orders delivered outside the EU. The recipient will be responsible for all taxes and fees incurred in the destination country.

Are there import charges outside of EU?

Please note that international orders may be subject to customs or import duties and tax charges when arriving in the destination country outside Portugal. We do not cover this cost, so you will be responsible for paying any import charges that may be added. As customs taxes vary from country to country, we cannot advise on these taxes and we recommend that you contact your local customs service for more information before placing your order.

 

Returns Shipping Costs

If you choose to return your orders, you will be responsible for any fees, taxes and/or customs charges incurred with the packaging and the cost of returning the packaging to our Portuguese address. This amount will be deducted from the order refund.

 

Force Majeure
Unpredictable events beyond the control of LEAO will be considered to be force majeure, meaning that LEAO is without the onus of fulfilling obligations under contractual agreements. Examples of such events are: government action or inaction, new or changed legislation, conflict, embargo, fire or flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, pandemic crisis, strikes or non-delivery of suppliers. Force majeure reasons also include government decisions that negatively affect the market and products, for example, restrictions, warnings, prohibitions, etc.

 

Jewelry Care
Jewelry is intrinsically delicate.
Please follow the advice below to keep your jewelry always beautiful:

. Store your jewelry in the original packaging or in a soft pouch to avoid scratches and rubbing with other pieces and to avoid the creation of undesired knots, in the case of necklaces. If using a jewelry box, make sure that the pieces are kept in separate compartments;
. Clean your jewelry frequently with a soft cloth to maintain the original finish or with other suitable product recommended by the brand;
. Remove jewelry before washing your hands, swimming and / or applying products (for example, perfume, sprays, soap or body cream), as they may damage the surface and color of the precious metal, reduce the quality of the plating, and may cause discoloration and / or loss of the glaze of the vitreous enamel (when applicable);
. Put your jewelry last when you get dressed and remove it first when undressing;
. Avoid contact with water;
. Avoid shocks, strong impacts and uneven surfaces that can damage the materials;
. Do not expose the jewelry to very high temperatures;
. When using the necklaces and bracelets, check that the clasps are tightly closed and secure.

 

Repairs & Complaints

LEAO only sells jewelry in perfect condition, that are previously verified. If, exceptionally, you receive a defective jewel, please contact us.

Customer Complaints
We try to answer all customer complaints or doubts within a maximum of 5 working days.

Additional information
LEAO reserves the right to change any information, including, but not limited to prices, technical specifications, purchase conditions and product offers without prior notice. In the event that a product is out of stock, LEAO has the right to cancel the order and refund any amount paid in the most appropriate manner. LEAO will also notify the customer of equivalent replacement products, if available.
