The information on this page sets out the terms and conditions of sale to be established between LEAO and the user at the time of placing an online order.
Please read them carefully before ordering any product.
You must be aware that by ordering any of our products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
These terms may be updated, so it is your responsibility to read them every time you place an order, as the applicable conditions will be those in effect at the time the site is used.

Call Costs
Call charges to national landlines, national mobile networks, and international numbers vary according to the rate agreed between the customer and their telecommunications provider. Please contact your provider for clarification.
Prices
LEAO product prices are always clearly displayed on the website, except in the case of typographical errors.
If there is an error in the price of any product, we will contact the customer, offering the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it with a full refund.
If the customer chooses a refund, it will be processed using the same payment method used for the order.
If we are unable to contact the customer, the order will be canceled and fully refunded.
We make every effort to ensure that the prices displayed on our website are correct. However, we reserve the right to change product prices at any time without prior notice.
Prices include VAT.
Payment Methods
All products remain the property of LEAO until payment is made in full.
The applicable price is that in force on the date the order is placed.
Shipping costs and payment fees are identified prior to order confirmation.
If you are under 18 years old, you must have parental permission to purchase from LEAO.
All transactions on the LEAO website are processed through third-party secure payment gateways to ensure your protection.
Card information is not stored, and all data is handled via SSL encryption. Please consult the terms and conditions of the selected payment gateway, as they are responsible for the transaction.

Orders and Formal Contract
To place an order, after choosing your item, proceed to the Checkout page, fill in your personal details including billing, shipping, and payment information, and read and confirm acceptance of these Terms and Conditions before finalizing the process.
By clicking “Complete Order”, you are entering into a purchase agreement with LEAO.
After placing your order, make sure to check your email inbox (the one used for the order) for a confirmation message.
You will also receive status updates via email throughout the order process.

Shipping
All orders are shipped according to the availability of the items.
We reserve the right to ship items at a later date if they are not in stock at the time of purchase. In this case, we will contact you to choose between continuing the order or receiving a full refund.
Standard orders are processed and shipped within 1–5 business days, unless otherwise specified in the product description (e.g., pre-orders, which take 5–20 business days after payment).
If you order multiple items and one is a pre-order, all items will be shipped together at the later date. However, you may request separate shipments in this case.
Delivery times may be longer during holiday periods.
For security reasons, we do not ship to P.O. boxes.

– European Union: 5–15 business days | €30 (Free Shipping on orders over €350)
Can I access my order tracking number?
Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive the tracking number by email.
Is VAT applied to international orders?
VAT is not applied to orders delivered outside the EU.
Since website prices include VAT, once you select a non-EU shipping destination, VAT will be automatically deducted at checkout.
The recipient is responsible for any customs duties and taxes incurred in the destination country.
We are based in Portugal – Europe, so please note that customers are responsible for paying any additional fees, customs charges, import duties, or taxes required by the destination country.
Are there import charges outside the European Union?
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and other fees upon arrival in the destination country.
LEAO does not cover these charges.
The customer is responsible for paying any applicable import costs.
Customs policies vary by country, so we recommend contacting your local customs office before placing an order.
Exchange and Return Policy
Under Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, regarding distance and off-premises contracts, if contracting with a consumer, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days, without needing to provide any reason.
This period begins on the day after the consumer or a third party acquires physical possession of the goods.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must notify us of their decision via an unequivocal statement (e.g., by post or email) to:

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the 14-day period expires.
Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from the contract, we will refund all payments received, including delivery costs (except additional costs arising from a different delivery method chosen by you) without undue delay and within 14 days from the date we are informed of your decision.
We will issue the refund using the same payment method used in the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or proof of their return, whichever is earlier.

The goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date you notify us of the withdrawal.
The deadline is met if you return the goods before the 14-day period ends.
In addition to the legal right of withdrawal, LEAO offers a general exchange and return policy for Collection Jewellery, allowing customers to request an exchange or return within 14 days of receiving the item.
All exchanges or returns must be made within a maximum of 14 days of receipt.
LEAO reserves the right to refuse exchanges or returns outside this period or of items that are not in their original condition.
Items must be returned in their original packaging and include the invoice.
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and must return items in their original condition and packaging.
The customer is also responsible for any duties, taxes, or customs charges associated with the return. These costs may be deducted from the refund if paid by LEAO.

The right of withdrawal and our general return policy do not apply to custom-made or clearly personalized items.
No returns or exchanges will be accepted for items showing signs of use, misuse, or missing any components (such as packaging, accessories, certificates, or invoice).
Force Majeure
Events beyond LEAO’s control that could not be foreseen will be considered force majeure, meaning LEAO is released from its contractual obligations.
Examples include: government action or inaction, new or amended legislation, conflict, embargo, fire, flood, sabotage, accident, war, natural disasters, strikes, or supplier delays.
Force majeure also includes government decisions that negatively affect markets or products, such as restrictions or bans.
Jewellery Care
Jewellery pieces are inherently delicate.
Please follow these recommendations to keep your jewellery in excellent condition:
– Store your jewellery in its original packaging or a soft pouch to avoid scratches and tangling (especially for necklaces);
– If using a jewellery box, keep pieces in separate compartments;
– Clean your jewellery regularly with a soft cloth or approved products;
– Remove jewellery before washing hands, swimming, or applying products (e.g., perfume, sprays, soap, lotion), as these may damage the metal, reduce plating quality, or affect enamel shine;
– Put on jewellery last when dressing, and remove it first when undressing;
– Avoid water contact;
– Avoid shocks or rough surfaces;
– Do not expose to extreme temperatures;
– Ensure clasps are securely fastened when wearing necklaces and bracelets.
Diamond Jewellery Care
Diamonds easily retain skin oils, so they should be cleaned frequently by gently brushing with warm water and coconut soap.
Although diamonds are highly durable, they must be protected from impact or contact with other diamonds to prevent damage.
Store each diamond piece separately.
Quality
LEAO pieces are primarily handmade using high-quality materials and undergo quality control.
They are made in 925 silver or 19.2kt gold and bear the official hallmark.

Warranty & Repairs
LEAO products come with a three-year legal warranty of conformity.
To exercise your rights, contact us at geral@leaojewellery.com or via the return address above.
Describe the issue and include the signed and dated certificate of authenticity and warranty provided at purchase.
The warranty excludes:
– Products showing signs of misuse, mishandling, or improper maintenance;
– Unauthorized modifications or repairs;
– Replacement of broken chains, missing stones, or fast-wearing components.
LEAO also offers repair and maintenance services for three years (with the exceptions above).

LEAO only sells jewellery in perfect condition, pre-inspected.
If, exceptionally, you receive a defective item, please contact us.

LEAO reserves the right to change any information, including but not limited to prices, technical specifications, purchase conditions, and product offers, without prior notice.
If a product is unavailable, LEAO reserves the right to cancel the order and refund the amount paid.
